Protect Them from the Sun

A young child's skin is so delicate and damage from the sun can happen without you even being aware of it. Your child deserves the best sun protection that you can offer them. In addition to sunscreen, protect your child's sensitive skin with protective clothing. Keep your little ones out of the direct sunlight whenever possible. Avoid going out in the sun during the strongest hours of the suns rays, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Always put a hat on your child, especially the youngest ones.

A really awesome hat that I found when my child was young was what they called a legionnaires hat. This hat has a super wide brim to shield the eyes and face from the sun and a flap that covers the ears and the neck area. What a great invention, I thought. I am in full favor of every child wearing a hat such as this one. You can purchase this hat at http://www.comfykid.com/Flaphappy-main.htm. The Flap Happy Flap Hat is made from 100% cotton sheeting or seersucker and already sized for possible shrinking when washed. A little bit more money than what you might pay for a sun hat, but definitely worth it in my opinion.
