Giving Yourself Holiday Recovery Time

I have the unfortunate habit of getting sick over the holidays. It’s almost like my body knows that there are a few days off in my future, and saves up the sickness for those days so I don’t miss whatever important things are going on before and afterwards. On the positive side, it does kind of ensure that I use my holiday time for resting and taking good care of myself. Holidays (and vacations) can be wonderful and fun… but they can also be hectic and stressful. Travel can be full of worries, anxiety, and questions: will you make that … Continue reading

Metal Health Singer Dies

I was saddened today to read that Kevin Dubrow, lead singer for the metal band Quiet Riot, was found dead in Las Vegas today. I was a bit of a metal head in the 80s, but never had the opportunity to see Quiet Riot perform live. However, I did own their debut album, Metal Health, which was the first metal album to reach the #1 position on the Billboard chart. Dubrow, 52, was found in his Vegas home after a neighbor called the police. There were no signs of forced entry and the police reported no suspicious circumstances surrounding the … Continue reading
